[KIA]MoonyMaster interview
Hello all you Half-Life freaks, today I'm speaking to [KIA]MoonyMaster Head of the HLCCL cheese maker & elite AG fragger. This interview was requested by a Pro-HL reader who emailed in… no names Hi moonz…, First of all if I was to say "Mooooo Moo MooooMooo Moooooooooo" What would you say in reply? Hmmm, MoooOOOoooOOoooOOOoooOOOooo!!! We all know you are one of top names behind the running of the HLCCL league but tell us a bit about how you got into the position & how much time it takes for you to produce the fixtures each week so others can play. Well, joining KIA helped a lot I suppose Being a gobby little shite helped get noticed in the community too. With regards to the fixtures well erm, im a bit of a slacker really and in honesty it probably only takes a couple of hours to pump out the fixtures and tables for one week, chasing up scores and stuff can be a pain in the ass, especially if i've got other stuff on like work. You were in DHD before joining KIA years back. Were you in any other clans apart from DHD? eez Good memory But nah, D*H*D was my first proper clan. I joined them shortly after I got ADSL Every one knows you for your role in KIA playing along side Garpy where you really started to shine. Can you tell us, did playing along side Garpy improve your playing much? Garps was indeed one of the things I loved about playing with KIA - he was a great sparring partner and because he was (and still is) such a good player it gave me something to aim for when I was playing. A good sense of friendly, "matey" competition did us both good I think For you, moving to KIA paid off but for some players like [KIA]Angel he was far better when he was at clan [BUD] in them days he rocked the show, On the subject of clans do you think those who sick to one or two clans for life earn greater respect than those who just jump from one team to the next like they change their pants? Definitely!! Loyalty is a big thing to me and something that really gets my back up in half-life are glory-hunters. People who shift about clans just so that they can win and boast about what clans they have been in etc. To be fair though, you can always spot people like that from a mile off - 'wannabe elites' I suppose. Does my nut lol Talking of glory-hunters which I know what you mean… Tell us who do you think are the biggest victims in the AG world of this 'wanna-be elite clan hoppers'? By victims do you mean - specific clans? Clans or Players. Haha, well... I'd rather not give any specific names but as I said it's fairly obvious when you see them - a classic example of a clan though would be -[D]-. Nice clan at the start - no doubts, some evil players, unfortunately though something like that can only really last as long as the winning does, and because of some of the members ego's, once they began to let it slide it just went to pot. So would the name 'Don' be on that list ;) Anyway you are known for being a bit of a joker in servers, I remember one time when you were playing in BW tdm owning as normal when Don joined the server and entered on your team. You started fragging him and he replied 'Moonz stop killing me fag!' which you replied 'Well get off my team then cock :p' Do you think the game has become to serious? Good question by the way! My own view is that in an official clan war it's nice to have an air of seriousness going on - everyone doing their jobs properly and as little goofing about as possible. On the other hand though it frustrates me when you see nobs spoiling other peoples fun by lets say, firing a spam in when someone is having a crowbar fight Personally thats not how I get my jollies from the game I prefer some nice fights and stuff, but some people enjoy mooning about with snarks and crowbars etc and youve gotta respect that. On the subject of 'THE_DON' :D Anything you'll like to say? LoL Why is it i get the feeling you want me to slag my chum donald off? His mams ass is so horny and he likes to eat mayo? that ok? ;> LoL, (forgive me Don I love you really). Who do you think are the 'new kids on the block' in AG at the moment to watch out for? Definitely the FINS Must be all the fish they eat or summin but they can seriously play Half-Life Seem to be a few reasonable American players popping up too Oh and all the "old-skool HLDM'ers" who are beginning to come back too, Chinx, Lowman etc You've gotta love old-skool style I'm not one to suck up to players but when I see true quality play & workmanship (like Challenge-hl site) I like to promote those players as much as possible and CHiNX is one of those true star cheeza good to see him back. Talking of which, what 3 players do you hold the most respect for & why? Hehe lick-ass mode here. mmm well, I'm going to have to go with an obvious one first I think Edwina, Edward, Pierre AKA EddZ I lub him tbh, cracks me up, brilliant blend of jokey-mate and harsh-boss, almost couldn't get a better clan leader Nice bloke and great player. Nice, -|MOD|-General would agree with you on that choice mate.[CWA]StEvE Another ace bloke, taught me a lot about the game and how it should be played, if only I came along sooner I would have been able to play along side him more tbh. -ENG- team-captain too. ooo another good choice, steve's a star geeza in my books too and your 3rd?. Damn you for making me pick 3 !! Few others are stz (for making [DM]) Troj for always sticking to his "ban a3d" guns oh and donald just because he's my snookums Will you be going to the next KIA LAN? F**king too right Unfortunately i've lost touch slightly with a few of the KIA chaps but I have absolutely no doubts that when HL2 finally pops out the KIA spirit will be back in action hoho But the real question is… Did Pavlos land a kiss on you Moonz by the end of the last LAN? I don't kiss and tell Yes LoL nice. You mentioned back there about Troj making you play on banned A3D servers… Where do you stand on A3D? Was waiting for this... Ye the a3d ban isn't a here-or-there really, not too bothered - if im brutally honest then i think i would prefer it if EVERYONE has a3d I liked having the option to be either a sneaky git or an all-out offensive beast. Not having a3d kinda forces you into the latter in many ways - no a3d is cool though, has breathed a bit of new life into the game for me Plus it's quality seeing all the *ahem* "elites" play like utter donkeys without a3d You can actually see who are the skilled people now. HeeHee, What do you think about this whole cheating, banning, thing going on at the moment in the HLCCL? And do you have anything to say to players out their taking part in the league who maybe tweaking their graphics etc? Horrible question lol, I assume your getting at the people who have tried this "fps tweak" by copying over their graphics driver file and putting it in their half-life folder etc? Well, I can't say too much but we (the HLCCL) do have some plans in order to sort out all the people who have 'supposedly' been fucked over by this nasty mistake. If your pc is actually that crap anyway then I feel sorry for you full stop lol. All I can say is, just hold on and it will be sorted.
